Lily's Fairytale Party for Mac · updated 27 September 2026

The short version: the app collects nothing. The camera picture stays on your Mac, is never shown on the big screen and is never saved. There are no accounts, no analytics, no adverts and no purchases, and the app never connects to the internet.

The camera

The app asks for the camera so that each child's fairytale character can move with them. Each picture is looked at on the Mac, to find where the people in it are and how they are standing, and is then discarded. It is never shown on the stage the children see, never written to disk and never sent anywhere. The host can see the picture on the Mac's own console to check the camera is pointed well; it is not saved there either.

Photo cards

When the host takes a photo card, the app saves a picture of the characters only (never the camera picture) to a folder named "Lily's Party Photos" in your Pictures folder. It stays on your Mac; the app does not upload it or add it to the Photos library. You can delete the folder at any time.

What the app stores

A few preferences, such as the camera shape chosen, kept by macOS in the app's own storage on your Mac. Nothing else.

Children

The app is made to be used by children at a party, under an adult's eye. It collects no personal information from anyone, children included, and contains no links out of the app, no purchases and no advertising.
